Quality at the Cell Level:
The solar cell is the core of the module: the higher the cell efficiency, the higher the module’s power output. Suniva begins its solar cell manufacturing process in the world renowned research labs at the Georgia Institute of Technology’s University Center of Excellence in PV (UCEP), which was founded by Suniva CTO, Dr. Ajeet Rohatgi.
Suniva is the first company to successfully integrate ion implantation into the process flow to manufacture its latest generation cell product – ARTisun Select. ARTisun Select consistently achieves 19% conversion efficiencies, and is made using low-cost manufacturing techniques, which enables us to offer our customers an affordable, high quality product that far surpasses the competition. These cells are used in our higher power Optimus module line.

Quality at the Module Level:
Suniva’s suite of monocrystalline and multicrystalline module products can fulfill any budget while maintaining the highest level of reliability. All Suniva modules are backed by a 10 year workmanship warranty, and a 25 year linear performance warranty ensuring high performance for the lifetime of the module.
Suniva offers Buy America compliant modules, with materials and processes which are proven in our Module Assembly Lab ensuring top quality and long term reliability. Our module tests include but are not limited to:
- Salt spray exposure
- Coating durability
- High humidity exposure
- Frost exposure and rapid thermal cycling
- Hail test
- Boiling water
- Outdoor exposure
All modules are produced under Suniva's direct supervision in an ISO 9001 certified facility. Our high quality modules go through rigorous quality inspections and are warranted to our rigid specifications. Suniva modules have recorded over 500 rounds of thermal cycling and 2000 hours of damp heat with our modules still going strong!
